To exempt snow vehicles that are licenced as commercial vehicles and that have a Licensed Gross Vehicle Weight (LGVW) of more than 8200 kg from the required annual commercial vehicle inspection.

2011 Circular 13-11 Amendments to Commercial Vehicle Weights and Dimensions by General Authorization (bus load sharing ratio, auxiliary power unit weight allowances, and axle track width requirements for trailers equipped with super single tires) 2011/12/20
2011 Circular 12-11 An oversize permit is required in order to be compliant with Commercial Transport Regulations (CTR) if the forward hose reel exceeds 1 meter in overall length from the front bumper. To request a permit, the operator must have a Letter of Authorization from the Commercial Transport Program. 2011/12/12
Compliance, Education and Policy Circular 15-11 To advise that a Letter of Authorization permit is available for B Train, Super B Train, and hayrack semi-trailer logging configurations equipped with manual lift axles that are chained up during highway operation (as per the conditions of section 7.11 of the Commercial Transport Regulations (CTR)).

The Letter of Authorization permit will be available only to vehicle configurations that have one or two manual lift axles on the lead trailer (3-axle leads for Super B Trains or 2-axle leads for B Trains.). The Letter of Authorization permit will contain specific conditions for operation of the non compliant lift axles.

The Commercial Transport Regulation (CTR) was amended, effective July 21, 2011, to implement the changes set out below. The circular has been updated to reflect this. 
PURPOSE OF CIRCULAR
To advise that the CTR has been amended to reconcile some vehicle weight and dimension standards with Alberta and Saskatchewan. Changes to reconcile and modernize pilot car physical standards were also made. These changes were made pursuant to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement between the three provinces.
